Inventions and Discoveries Resulting from Funded Research

Researchers are reminded of certain obligations to disclose and report any and all inventions and/or innovative discoveries.

As described in The Catholic University of America’s Patent Policy, you are required to submit an invention disclosure to The Office of Technology Transfer for all inventions, regardless of ownership rights in the technology.

The Office of Technology Transfer will be responsible for making any required disclosures to Federal government or other research sponsors. Invention disclosures must be made in a timely fashion, as there are strict time requirements for federal notification.
